In a disturbing case, Kaye Little, also known as Kia Little, has been sentenced to prison by Leeds Crown Court for preying upon and exploiting the vulnerability of children. The 46-year-old, residing in Cleveland at the time of the offences, faced charges related to sexual activity with a child, malicious communications, and possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The crimes occurred between 2015 and 2019, involving two male child victims from Leeds who were contacted by Little over the internet.

The Leeds Children Vulnerable to Exploitation Team officers became aware of Little in 2019 during an investigation into malicious communication reports. Subsequent enquiries led to her identification as a suspect for sexual offences against the two boys. Arrested in 2019, Kay Little was charged in April 2022 and found guilty of 13 offences after a trial in August of the same year.

Today, she received a six-year prison sentence for the offences, with an additional three years due to the perceived danger she poses. A concurrent nine-month sentence was imposed for an offence against an adult male in Cleveland, investigated by a separate force.

Detective Constable Khi Smith expressed satisfaction with the sentence, emphasising the victims’ bravery in reporting the offences and their resilience throughout the lengthy criminal justice process. The detective urged anyone who has experienced similar offences to come forward, assuring them of support and a commitment to securing justice.

Little’s actions serve as a stark reminder that such offending will not be tolerated, and law enforcement encourages victims to report any related offences, regardless of when they occurred. The hope is that the victims can now begin to move forward with their lives, knowing that a measure of justice has been served.
