Former Strictly stars James and Ola Jordan recently revealed a concerning health issue with their three-year-old daughter, Ella. In an exclusive interview with HELLO! magazine, the couple disclosed details about Ella’s recent hospitalisation before Christmas, shedding light on her health struggles.

Ella was rushed to the hospital due to pneumonia and tonsilitis, prompting James and Ola to investigate the root cause of her susceptibility to infections. The couple disclosed that doctors are looking into a heart condition that Ella has, which they had not previously spoken about.

According to Ola, Ella was diagnosed with a heart murmur a couple of years ago. On her second birthday, a doctor expressed concern about a “little hole” in her heart, prompting the need for further examination. James, 43, shared that doctors advised them to wait until Ella is older before addressing her heart condition. A follow-up appointment is scheduled for next month, with hopes of gaining more insight.

The worried parents recounted Ella’s pre-Christmas hospitalisation, describing two “terrible nights” where her fever spiked to 41 degrees. They expressed the helplessness they felt as parents witnessing the medical procedures, including inserting a cannula into Ella’s arm. Ola stayed overnight with Ella in the hospital, as only one parent was allowed due to restrictions.

Thankfully, Ella recovered from pneumonia after a week in the hospital and made it home for Christmas. James and Ola shared that Ella’s health has been improving, with her now being “85% better.” Despite her progress, they noted that a recent visit to an indoor play centre left her fatigued, and her energy levels are not fully restored.

The couple expressed gratitude for Ella’s recovery and emphasised their focus on supporting her as she continues on her journey to full health. The shocking revelation about Ella’s heart condition adds a layer of concern for the doting parents, who are eagerly awaiting further information from the upcoming medical appointments.
