Minnesota woman seeks damages, accuses dentist of falsifying records and administering unsafe dosage
A Minnesota woman, Kathleen Wilson, has filed a malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Kevin Molldrem of Molldrem Family Dentistry, accusing him of leaving her ‘disfigured’ after an aggressive dental treatment. The incident occurred during a five-and-a-half-hour visit in July 2020, where Wilson alleges she underwent eight dental crowns, 20 fillings, and four root canals, exceeding what experts consider a safe dosage of anesthesia.

Wilson further claims that Dr. Molldrem falsified medical records to misrepresent the administered dosage. An expert examining the case noted the excessive procedures, emphasizing the need for a slower and more measured approach to address Wilson’s dental issues.
Wilson sought follow-up care from other providers, citing pain, embarrassment, disfigurement, and distress resulting from Molldrem’s procedures. The lawsuit, filed in Hennepin County District Court, seeks damages of at least $50,000. Dr. Molldrem has not publicly responded to the accusations as of the latest update.
