Guests call the private New York celebration magical, emotional and unforgettable
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding may have been wrapped in secrecy, but their famous guests have now started to offer the first glimpses inside the star-packed celebration.
The couple married at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday, with about 1,000 people reportedly on the guest list. The event drew major names from music, film, television and sport, although the couple have not yet released official photographs from the ceremony.
For days, details of the Taylor Swift wedding were tightly guarded. Guests were widely believed to have been asked not to share photos or reveal too much from inside the venue. Still, by the weekend, several celebrities had begun posting hints, outfit pictures and emotional messages online.
Actress Jessica Alba was one of the clearest voices to confirm she attended. She shared a photo of herself in a black Prada gown and congratulated the couple, calling it “such a beautiful night”. Her post was set to Swift’s song Love Story, while another update showed her and partner Danny Ramirez getting ready for the event.
BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James also confirmed he had been there. Swift had invited him to the wedding live on his breakfast show, and James later said the invitation really did arrive. He described the night as “unbelievably brilliant” and joked that he was dealing with the “world’s greatest hangover” after the celebration.
The Taylor Swift wedding also appeared to leave other guests feeling the effects of a long night. Singer and actress Suki Waterhouse posted a quote about working well with a hangover, then shared photos from New York, including a selfie in a silver gown in a car. She did not directly say she attended, but she had previously told Variety that she was on Swift’s wedding guest list.
Other guests offered stronger clues. Severance actor Adam Scott posted a photo with Paul Rudd and added “T&T” with two hearts. Actress Niecy Nash shared a video of her journey to Madison Square Garden with her wife, singer-songwriter Jessica Betts. She wrote that “a time was had” and said the love in the room was “palpable”.
Music video director Joseph Kahn, who worked with Swift on videos including Bad Blood and Look What You Made Me Do, said he had a “wonderful” time. He described the wedding as funnier and more emotional than expected, adding that despite its size, it still felt intimate. He also said “literally everyone was there” and compared the experience to “living in the internet”.
Several A-list figures were seen entering or leaving the celebration, including Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellie Goulding, Graham Norton and Dakota Johnson.
Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, kept her reaction short but telling. When asked about the wedding in a Macy’s department store post, she said she could not reveal much, but described it as “magical”.
The Taylor Swift wedding also sparked a wave of cryptic posts from stars who appeared to hint at their attendance. Toni Collette posted a picture of herself in a floral sleeveless dress set to Swift’s Paper Rings. Fergie shared a glamorous New York photo and said she had dressed up in vintage Christian Dior by Galliano to “celebrate love”.
Country singer Maren Morris posted videos of guests travelling together in formal outfits while singing Love Story. She later shared a photo of herself on a plane, wrapped in a blanket and wearing dark sunglasses, writing that after “24 hours of chaos” she could finally sleep.
The Taylor Swift wedding remains largely private, but the early reactions paint a clear picture. It was huge, emotional, carefully guarded and, for many of the guests, unforgettable.
