Ozzy Osbourne reflects on his role in Black Sabbath’s reunion show, announcing a smaller involvement due to his health struggles.

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, has shared the details of his involvement in the band’s highly anticipated Back to the Beginning reunion show. Despite the reunion’s excitement, Osbourne revealed that he won’t be performing a full set with the band. Instead, he’ll contribute “little bits and pieces” during the event, which is set to take place on 5 July 2025 in Birmingham, England.

Speaking on Ozzy Speaks, Osbourne explained his decision, acknowledging that his current health situation limits his physical capabilities. “I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them,” he said. “I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”

The legendary singer has been battling Parkinson’s disease, which has played a significant role in his decision to limit his involvement in the reunion. Osbourne’s last full performance was in 2018, and since then, he’s been focusing on recovery. “When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but I’m not dead. I’m still actively doing things,” Osbourne shared, reassuring fans of his ongoing commitment to music.

Sharon Osbourne, his wife, previously confirmed that the reunion show would mark the end of Ozzy’s touring career. “It’s goodnight to his fans,” she said, acknowledging the challenges posed by Parkinson’s disease. “It takes a lot of physical energy for Ozzy,” she explained, praising her husband’s achievements despite the setbacks.

The Birmingham show will be a significant moment for Black Sabbath and Ozzy’s fans alike, marking the end of an era in the music world. As Osbourne reflects on his legacy, he remains grateful for his fans’ support and is focused on enjoying his time with the band, even if in a limited capacity
