When is Celebrity Traitors on? The full schedule, and the vote the BBC made you wait a week for

Episode two ended mid round table, before a single vote was read out. Here is when you get the answer, and everything else you need before Thursday.

Next episode Thursday 8 October, 8pm · BBC One

Episode two did something quietly cruel.

The round table was in full flow. The suspicion had landed on Richard E. Grant, the man who had already told Joe Lycett he was a Traitor out loud, on day one, for no reason anybody has satisfactorily explained.

Joanne McNally defended him. Jerry Hall defended him.

And then the credits rolled.

No vote. No banishment. Nothing.

So if you have spent the past few days trying to work out when you actually find out, here is the full picture.

When is the next episode of Celebrity Traitors?

The next episode of Celebrity Traitors is on Thursday 8 October at 8pm on BBC One. That is episode three.

Episode four follows the next night, Friday 9 October, also at 8pm. Both episodes run for an hour.

What days and times is Celebrity Traitors on?

Celebrity Traitors airs on Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm on BBC One.

The BBC confirmed that pattern on 15 September, ahead of the series launching on 1 October, and it has held for both episodes so far. Two episodes a week is a change worth knowing if you are coming from the first series, which went out on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

What channel is Celebrity Traitors on, and where can you watch it?

Celebrity Traitors is on BBC One, and every episode is on BBC iPlayer afterwards.

If you miss Thursday, episodes one and two are both sitting on BBC iPlayer now, along with Traitor or Faithful? Claudia Decides, a short companion piece the BBC dropped after the opening episode. You need a TV licence to watch live or on iPlayer. There is no paid subscription on top.

Episodes one to four are confirmed by the BBC. Everything from episode five onwards assumes the Thursday and Friday pattern continues, which it has so far but which the BBC has not locked in publicly.

How many episodes of Celebrity Traitors are there?

There are 10 episodes in series two.

That is one more than the first series, which ran to nine. Two have aired. Eight to go.

When is the Celebrity Traitors final?

The BBC has not formally confirmed the final’s date. On the schedule the series has kept so far, the tenth and final episode lands on Friday 30 October.

Treat that as the likely date rather than a confirmed one. The first series finished on 6 November 2025, so a late-October or early-November finish is consistent either way.

Who are the Traitors in Celebrity Traitors 2026?

There are three Traitors: Maya Jama, Richard E. Grant and James Acaster.

Claudia Winkleman selected Jama and Grant in episode one, while telling the group the Traitor team was not yet complete.

Acaster was recruited in episode two. He and Amol Rajan were summoned to the church and made to plead their cases from inside coffins, knowing one would be made a Traitor and the other murdered. Acaster was chosen. Rajan was not.

Who is still in the castle?

Twenty of the original 21 are still playing. Amol Rajan was murdered in episode two, and nobody has been banished.

How much have they won so far?

Banked after two missions£20,000
Of a possible £100,000 for charity

The players banked the full £15,000 from the shipwreck mission, then £5,000 of a possible £10,000 from the graveyard. The pot goes to the players’ chosen charities rather than to the winner.

What actually happened at the end of episode two?

The graveyard mission put the players into pairs and buried most of them alive. The Traitors chose Ross Kemp to stay above ground, which meant his partner Romesh Ranganathan stayed up too. Everyone else went into the coffins, with gold hidden in the graves between them.

The players dug almost everyone out. Jerry Hall and Hannah Fry were the two still in the ground when time ran out, which put them at risk of being murdered.

At the round table that evening, suspicion scattered. Julie Hesmondhalgh drew attention simply for having been voted the most trustworthy player, on the theory that a group that trusting might have picked a Traitor by accident. Leigh-Anne Pinnock was questioned for touching up her make-up before leaving the castle.

And Richard E. Grant, inevitably, was questioned about the thing he said out loud on day one. Then the episode ended, before the vote.

Where is Celebrity Traitors filmed?

At Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, the same castle used for every UK series of The Traitors.

Series two was filmed in May and June 2026, which is why nobody in the castle knows anything you don’t. The companion show, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, is back too, hosted by Ed Gamble.
