Jedward certainly didn’t waste their short stay in the Big Brother house.

What started as a fairly awkward conversation with Rhianna quickly spiralled into one of the biggest arguments of the series so far, with Lynx confronting the twins, water flying from the hot tub and other housemates getting dragged into the drama.

But what exactly did Jedward say to cause such a reaction?

The row didn’t actually begin at the hot tub.

It started with some surprisingly direct advice.

Rhianna was chatting with Jedward and Rob in the garden when she told the twins she was sad they would eventually be leaving the house.

She then asked whether they would remember her after they left.

John initially joked that they wouldn’t, before the conversation suddenly became much more serious.

ITV revealed that Big Brother returned with 761,000 overnight viewers, an increase on the programme’s ITV2 overnight audience in 2025.

Viewing among 16 to 34-year-olds also increased year on year.

The broadcaster says ITV Reality has generated more than 450 million streams during 2026, with Big Brother among the formats driving that growth.

And if the fallout from Jedward’s short stay is anything to go by, the producers may already have plenty more drama to work with.
