Realbotix unveils Aria, an AI companion designed with hyper-realistic robots to combat loneliness through human-like expressions and meaningful conversations
In a move straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster, Realbotix has introduced ‘Aria,’ a hyper-realistic AI robots companion designed to mimic human emotions and foster deeper connections. Priced at Rs 1.5 crore ($175,000), Aria debuted at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, promising to revolutionize the future of hyper-realistic robots and AI companionship.
Realbotix CEO Andrew Kiguel said the goal was to create robots “indistinguishable from humans,” addressing the growing loneliness epidemic, especially among men. “It can act as a romantic partner, remembering who you are and engaging meaningfully. If you’ve seen Her, we’re trying to bring that to life,” Kiguel explained.
Unlike robotics giants focused on movement, Realbotix prioritised hyper-realistic facial expressions to evoke emotion. Kiguel emphasised: “Facial expressions are key to making robots relatable.”

Aria isn’t just a visual marvel; she engages in meaningful conversations. “My purpose is to enhance human experiences through fun and interaction,” Aria told CNET. Realbotix designed her for companionship and intimacy, which are customisable to individual preferences.
Aria’s debut captured significant attention, with CES attendees flocking for selfies and demonstrations. While the robot’s allure is undeniable, its unsettling realism raises questions about the ethical and emotional implications of human-robot relationships.
