In a chilling incident on the ‘Full Moon Party’ island of Koh Pha Ngan in Thailand, British backpacker Hugo Mooney narrowly escaped death after being viciously attacked with a broken bottle in a bar.

Hugo recounts the terrifying ordeal, describing how he intervened to protect a female friend from harassment, only to find himself facing a life-threatening assault. Thanks to the timely intervention of a holidaying doctor, Hugo managed to survive the harrowing incident, but not without enduring significant blood loss and trauma.

Harrowing footage captured the aftermath of the attack, with Hugo lying bloodied on the bar floor as frantic attempts were made to stem the bleeding from his neck. The altercation, which erupted amidst a night of drinking with friends at the Bamboo Bar, quickly escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving Hugo fighting for his life.

Following the attack, Hugo sought medical attention at a local hospital on Koh Pha Ngan. However, his ordeal did not end there. In a shocking turn of events, Hugo alleges that Thai police forcibly removed him from the hospital against medical advice and placed him in a room with his alleged attacker, just 14 hours after the violent assault took place.
