Teenager among three charged with murder of Jordan Hogg in Hemlington

A 17-year-old boy and two men face murder charges after the fatal stabbing of Jordan Hogg in Hemlington.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the tragic death of Jordan Hogg in Hemlington. Cleveland Police confirmed that the teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Tuesday evening. He remains in custody and is set to appear before Teesside Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, March 5.

Jordan Hogg, 28, lost his life after an incident in Fonteyn Court on Friday, February 28. His death has left the community in shock, with loved ones struggling to come to terms with the devastating loss.

In a heartfelt statement released through Cleveland Police, Jordan’s grieving family expressed their pain and sorrow. “We can’t put into words how deeply devastated our family and friends are, that Jordan has been so cruelly taken away from us. His absence has left a huge void in our hearts. Life just won’t be the same without him. Jordan was a funny, loving, special young man who lit up any room he walked into and was loved by everyone who knew him. We will keep his memory alive, ensuring he will never be forgotten.”

Two other men, Michael Charville, 43, and Oliver Connelly, 27, have also been charged with Jordan’s murder. Both appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. Charville, of no fixed abode, has additionally been charged with possession of a bladed article, while Connelly, also of no fixed abode, faces a charge of possession of an offensive weapon.

The arrests come after a detailed police investigation into the events that led to Jordan’s death. Officers continue to appeal for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward to assist with the case.

Jordan’s death has shaken the Hemlington community, with friends and family paying tribute to the young man whose vibrant personality left a lasting impact. The investigation remains ongoing, with further court proceedings expected in the coming days.
