The latest leaks point to a redesigned iPhone SE with a Dynamic Island, marking a significant departure from previous SE models
Fresh leaks about the iPhone SE 4 have heightened anticipation around Apple’s budget-friendly device. While earlier rumours suggested a rebranding to the iPhone 16E to align with flagship models, new insights from trusted tipster Evan Blass (Evleaks) hint the device may keep the SE name, officially becoming the iPhone SE (4th generation). Excitingly, it is expected to feature the iPhone SE 4 Dynamic Island, adding a touch of innovation to this affordable model.
One of the most intriguing details revealed in the latest leaks is the presence of Apple’s Dynamic Island on the iPhone SE 4. First introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro series, the Dynamic Island has become a signature feature of Apple’s premium devices, replacing the traditional notch with an interactive pill-shaped cutout. The leak shows the iPhone SE 4 with the Dynamic Island, signalling a major design update for the mid-range device, which was previously expected to use a Face ID system housed in a more conventional notch.
While the visual assets shared by Blass provide a glimpse of the device, details remain scarce. However, the appearance of the Dynamic Island has sparked speculation about the SE 4 potentially offering premium features, with some analysts wondering if Apple will incorporate this feature to elevate the device’s appeal.

The device is expected to sport a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, providing a sharp and clear screen while keeping costs down. Under the hood, the iPhone SE 4 may be powered by Apple’s A18 Plus chipset, offering improved performance over the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, along with enhanced Apple Intelligence support.
In terms of pricing, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to remain under the $500 mark, which would help maintain its position as a budget-friendly alternative to the flagship iPhone models. This price point is made possible, in part, by Apple’s decision to incorporate in-house modem technology, reducing reliance on external suppliers.
While the presence of Dynamic Island and other premium features remains speculative, Apple is clearly positioning the iPhone SE 4 as a device that blends high-end features with affordability. Whether the SE 4 will live up to these expectations is still to be seen, but it is clear that Apple is taking steps to make this iteration of the SE family more competitive in the mid-range smartphone market.
