Unsuspecting partner caught in the crossfire of a calculated vendetta

In a chilling twist to a Sydney tragedy, authorities have unravelled a sinister plot behind the brutal murders of journalist Jesse Baird, 26, and his partner Luke Davies, 29. Baird, known for his role on Network 10’s Studio 10, and Davies have been reported missing since February 19 from their Paddington residence.

The alarm was raised when their blood-soaked belongings were discovered in a dumpster in Cronulla, nearly 27 kilometres from their home. The grim search concluded with the discovery of their bodies concealed in surf bags at a secluded property in Bungonia, south of Sydney.

Initial investigations have led police to believe that Baird’s murder was a calculated act, orchestrated by former law enforcement officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon. The two had a complicated history, with Baird previously engaged in a casual relationship with Lamarre-Condon. Tensions escalated when Lamarre-Condon falsely declared their partnership on social media, according to Baird’s confidant Corey-Dean Thorpe.

While Baird’s demise appears to be a targeted act of vengeance, Davies’ tragic end is believed to be a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Assistant Commissioner Michael Fitzgerald revealed that Lamarre-Condon had not anticipated Davies’ presence at the scene.

The suspected murderer, who turned himself in after a two-hour negotiation with the authorities, has been charged with double homicide. He made no plea for bail during his initial court hearing and is scheduled for a follow-up appearance at Downing Center Local Court on April 23.

As the investigation continues, NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb assures the public and the victims’ families of their relentless pursuit of justice. The community is left reeling from the shocking revelations of a love triangle gone fatally wrong, with many unanswered questions lingering in the air
