Marvel Studios faces grief after on-set mishap

A devastating incident has shaken the production of Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated series, Wonder Man, as a crew member lost his life in a tragic on-set accident.

The upcoming miniseries, slated to start production soon, faced a halt due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, causing delays in its filming schedule. However, even before its production could resume, an unforeseen tragedy struck, claiming the life of a crew member at the Radford Studio Centre in Los Angeles.

The victim, identified as Juan Carlos Osorio, tragically fell from a catwalk, leading to his untimely demise. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, but authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the unfortunate event.

In response to the devastating loss, a spokesperson from Marvel Studios expressed condolences to Osorio’s family and pledged full cooperation with the investigation into the incident. Matthew D. Loeb, president of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, also extended support to Osorio’s family and colleagues, emphasizing the paramount importance of safety on set.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has initiated an investigation to ascertain the details of the accident. Meanwhile, the Wonder Man series, featuring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the lead role, faces uncertainties regarding its release date amidst the aftermath of this tragic event.

Despite the setback, Marvel Studios remains committed to ensuring the safety of its cast and crew, with ongoing efforts to address any concerns regarding on-set safety protocols.
