Police investigations reveal horrific details of planned marijuana transaction gone wrong

In a chilling incident that unfolded in the vast expanse of the California desert, police have arrested five men in connection with the discovery of six bodies. Authorities suspect that a prearranged meeting took a gruesome turn resulting in the shooting deaths of six individuals.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in California is diligently probing the suspected murder scene, located in the unincorporated area of Adelanto, specifically around Lessing Avenue and Shadow Mountain Road. The police department has identified the five individuals believed to be responsible for the heinous act.

The shocking revelation took an even more disturbing turn when it was disclosed that one of the victims, Franklin Noel Bonilla, managed to place a 911 call before succumbing to his injuries. The call, received at approximately 8:16 p.m., originated from the vicinity of the crime scene. Franklin, though shot, desperately sought help but couldn’t provide his exact location.

Police reports confirm that all six victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds, with an additional four displaying burn injuries. Investigators unraveled that the victims had organized a meeting for a marijuana transaction, leading to the fatal encounter.

On January 28, police apprehended five suspects in connection with the murders: Toniel Baez-Duarte, Mateo Baez-Duarte, Jose Nicolas Hernandez Sarabia, Jose Gregorio Hernandez Sarabia, and Jose Manuel Burgos Parra. The arrests followed the execution of multiple search warrants, leading to the discovery of firearms and additional evidence. The suspects face charges of PC 187-Murder and are currently held without bail.

While the motive behind the crime remains under investigation, the police have refrained from commenting on any cartel or gang involvement, attributing the incident to ‘organized crime.’ Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Detective Michelle Del Rio of the Specialized Investigations Division at (909) 890-4904.

The victims were located with the assistance of a police helicopter, which also revealed a bullet-riddled SUV and minivan at the scene. Additionally, eight firearms were confiscated and are now subject to scrutiny to determine their involvement in the tragic shooting.
