Is Adultery on Netflix, and where can you watch it?
No, Adultery is not on Netflix. You can watch it on ITV1 at 9 pm on Sundays and Mondays and stream all six episodes free on ITVX, or on STV and STV Player in Scotland.
TechRadar found no sign of it being shown in the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand so far.
The Netflix title that turns up in searches, Adulterers, is a 2015 American film with no connection to the ITV series, according to Wikipedia.
The Netflix question makes sense, though. Brocklehurst has written four series for Netflix: Safe, The Stranger, Stay Close and Fool Me Once.
What is Adultery about?
Adultery is a six-part ITV drama series whose plot follows Beth Brookes and Tom Kirkman, two married parents drawn into an affair after Beth knocks Tom off his bike with her car. Their teenage children, Ollie and Jess, are already going out with each other.
Beth, played by Romola Garai, is a mother of two and a part-time zumba teacher who is struggling after the death of a close friend. Tom, played by Dominic Cooper, is a middle-class GP, the Independent’s review explains.
ITV says the story raises questions about class, grief and the effects of social media. Garai has been clear that this is not an affair born of a bad marriage. She told IBTimes that Beth “is being selfish because she is grieving”, and told Woman & Home it grows out of dissatisfaction that builds over time.
ITV released the first Adultery trailer in June, Televisual reported, when the drama was still billed for “later this autumn”.
