A man in his 30s was left with horrific stab wounds after being ambushed by a gang in a Walton alleyway. The brutal attack unfolded between Roxburgh Street and Delamore Street at around 5:20pm, with witnesses reporting a group of males savagely beating the victim with poles or bats before he was stabbed multiple times.

Police have arrested a 57-year-old man on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and resisting arrest. However, with multiple attackers involved, detectives are urging the public to step forward with any information.

Detective Chief Inspector Ben Dyer has described the incident as a ‘targeted attack’ and warned that those responsible will be tracked down. Meanwhile, Merseyside Police are intensifying efforts to tackle the growing epidemic of knife crime, which continues to terrorise communities across the region.

As Walton residents grapple with the shocking violence in their streets, police are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice. Anyone with information is urged to come forward before another vicious assault shatters the fragile peace of this neighbourhood.
