Land rover discovery collides with Mini Cooper, ending in fatal consequences

In a heartbreaking incident, a man and a 17-month-old toddler lost their lives in a fatal car crash in Tarleton, Lancashire. The tragedy unfolded at 8:26 am when a Land Rover Discovery collided with a Mini Cooper and subsequently crashed into a tree near the junction with Oaklands Avenue on Hesketh Lane.

Police swiftly responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision. The crash resulted in the death of a 50-year-old man and the young girl, both occupants of the Land Rover Discovery. Emergency services pronounced them dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Mini Cooper sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Specially trained officers are providing support to the loved ones of the deceased during this incredibly sad and distressing time. The identities of the victims have not been disclosed at this point.
