In a shocking turn of events, Sanjay Shah, the CEO of US-based company Vistex, met a tragic fate during an ambitious entrance at the company’s jubilee celebration. The incident unfolded at Ramoji Film City movie studio in Hyderabad, India, leaving party guests in horror.

Shah, determined to make a grand entrance, opted for an elaborate performance inside an iron cage, alongside his colleague Raju Datla. The planned spectacle involved lowering the cage from a height as part of the jubilee festivities. However, tragedy struck when a chain supporting the structure snapped, causing both men to plummet 15 feet to the concrete ground.

The fatal accident occurred on Thursday evening, marking the company’s silver jubilee celebration. The event was intended to span two days, but the unfortunate incident likely led to its premature conclusion.

According to a company official, the cage descent was a planned event to kickstart the celebrations. The sudden failure of one of the wires attached to the cage resulted in the tragic fall, causing multiple injuries. Raju Datla remains in a serious condition, while Sanjay Shah succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities have registered a case against the Film City event management, and a video capturing the horrifying incident has circulated on social media, eliciting condolences and expressions of shock from viewers.

Vistex, an Illinois-based firm specializing in revenue management solutions and services, boasts a global presence with 20 offices and over 2,000 employees. Shah, the founder of Vistex, had previously worked at software company SAP and achieved remarkable success, leading the company to unparalleled year-over-year growth for two decades.

Apart from his corporate endeavors, Shah was actively involved in philanthropy, notably establishing the Vistex Foundation. The tragic accident has cast a somber shadow over the jubilee celebration, serving as a reminder of the importance of workplace safety and leaving a void in the Vistex community.
