FAA issues strict regulations for drone use near Allegiant Stadium during LVIII
As anticipation mounts for Super Bowl LVIII, football fans gearing up for the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are being reminded of a crucial rule that could save them from hefty fines.
With Allegiant Stadium in Nevada set to host the championship clash on Sunday, February 11, excitement is reaching fever pitch. However, amidst the frenzy of game day festivities, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued stern warnings regarding drone usage in and around the stadium.
While capturing aerial footage of the spectacle may seem like a tempting idea, drone enthusiasts should tread carefully. Allegiant Stadium has been designated a ‘No Drone Zone’ for the duration of Super Bowl LVIII, meaning that any unauthorized drone activity during the event could result in severe penalties.

From Thursday, February 8, restrictions will be in place around Resorts World from 2pm to 10pm, extending up to an altitude of 1,000 feet. Similar limitations will apply at the Wynn Casino on Friday, February 9, between 5pm and 11:30pm local time.
On game day itself, drone restrictions will be even more stringent. Starting at 11am, a two-nautical-mile radius around Allegiant Stadium will be subject to drone restrictions, reaching up to 2,000 feet in altitude. However, between 2:30pm and 8:30pm, these restrictions will expand dramatically to encompass a 30-nautical-mile radius and extend up to 18,000 feet in altitude.
The FAA has made it clear that violators of these regulations face severe consequences, including fines exceeding $30,000 and potential prosecution.
As football enthusiasts gear up for the ultimate showdown, the message is clear: steer clear of drone violations to avoid a financial fumble on Super Bowl Sunday.
