The new Rock Nashville campus aims to extend its influence in the live entertainment industry, tapping into the vibrant Nashville music scene
Rock Lititz, a major player in the live entertainment production sector, has announced the construction of a $52 million facility near Nashville, Tennessee. The project, set for completion in fall 2025, signifies a strategic expansion driven by the burgeoning demand in the live event industry.
Located 8 miles from downtown Nashville at 4808 Buena Vista Pike, the new campus named Rock Nashville covers 54.7 acres. The layout includes two large rehearsal studios capable of hosting arena-scale productions, with one towering up to 95 feet. Additionally, the site will feature creative offices and multiple production facilities designed to support a diverse range of live entertainment requirements.
Rock Nashville’s infrastructure draws inspiration from Rock Lititz’s headquarters in Warwick Township, although it spans approximately half of the latter’s 108-acre size. The complex will not only cater to large-scale productions but will also house 13 other rehearsal spaces, suited for smaller, more intimate performances.
The decision to expand into Nashville reflects Rock Lititz’s commitment to supporting the live event sector at a time when the industry’s market value is projected to double by 2032, reaching $1.2 trillion. Nashville, with its rich musical heritage and evolution into a global entertainment hub, presents a logical choice for this expansion.
Despite the development of this new facility, Rock Lititz assures that its operations and growth strategies at its original Pennsylvania location will continue unaffected. Andrea Shirk, President and CEO of Rock Lititz, expressed enthusiasm for the new project, stating it aligns with the company’s long-term vision to bolster the live entertainment industry globally.
Unlike its Pennsylvania counterpart, the Nashville campus will not include a hotel or public-access restaurant. However, it plans to collaborate with Blackbird Academy to integrate educational programs into the facility, enhancing training and development opportunities for audio engineering and live sound professionals.
Rock Nashville is expected to create approximately 400 new jobs, with an additional 85 positions likely to arise from associated businesses. The economic ripple effect of this development could significantly bolster the local economy and further cement Nashville’s status as a premier destination for musicians and creatives.
As the project progresses, community engagement and minimizing environmental impact remain key concerns. Rock Lititz has stated that lessons learned about managing noise pollution at its Warwick Township campus are guiding the design and construction processes at Rock Nashville, ensuring a harmonious relationship with the surrounding area
