New targets identified in Southern England as tensions rise

British intelligence sources have uncovered a chilling hit list of UK towns that Russian President Vladimir Putin would target in the event of war. The list, the most comprehensive ever compiled by British intelligence, includes nine targets across the country.

Recent intelligence reports indicate that two additional towns in southern England have been added to the list, bringing the total to nine. While the specific towns have not been disclosed, sources have confirmed that one of them has military connections.

Towns with historical ties to the Armed Forces, such as Aldershot, Colchester, and Portsmouth, are believed to be on the list, along with other potential targets like Chatham, Kent, Tidworth, and Salisbury in Wiltshire.

The intelligence, obtained from a Russian agent by a British intelligence officer in Eastern Europe, also reveals details about the military airfields from which Russian bombers would operate and the number of aircraft allocated for the operation.

According to a Whitehall source, the information includes plans for both high-level and low-level attacks. The strategy may involve a feint to distract the RAF’s Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) teams, followed by a real attack.

A Russian airstrike on UK soil would constitute a declaration of war, not only on the UK but also on the rest of NATO. Defence Secretary Grant Shapps previously warned that the world is transitioning “from a post-war to pre-war world,” highlighting the escalating tensions.

Gen Sir Patrick Sanders, outgoing head of the British army, has cautioned that the UK may face conflict with Russia in the coming years, describing it as a “1937 moment.” NATO experts believe that Putin has initiated a plan to use force to control much of Europe.

The UK maintains two QRA bases, RAF Coningsby in the east and RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, to protect against aerial threats. Putin’s aggressive actions, including frequent Russian bomber and spy plane incursions near British airspace, have necessitated responses from the RAF, which has dispatched Typhoon fighter jets to intercept these aircraft and safeguard UK airspace.

Putin’s aggressive military stance, coupled with the escalating conflict in Ukraine, has raised concerns about the potential for wider conflict and the need for vigilance and preparedness.

This revelation underscores the need for continued vigilance and preparedness in the face of potential threats. As tensions mount, the UK remains on high alert, ready to defend against any potential aggression.
