UFC star delves into dancing passion and acting debut

Conor McGregor, a renowned UFC fighter, recently shared a rare insight into his private life, particularly about his children’s interests and his foray into acting. At the New York City premiere of the “Road House” film reboot, McGregor revealed his oldest children’s enrollment in dance classes, highlighting a family passion for Irish dancing. “I do a little bit of river dancing. I [did] Irish dancing for sure in school,” McGregor stated during an interview with E! News on March 20, 2024. This revelation showcases a side of McGregor that fans seldom see, as he tends to keep details of his personal life under wraps.

McGregor, father to Conor Jack Jr. (6), Croía Mairéad (5), another Croía Mairéad (2), and Mack (3 months), shares these children with his fiancée, Dee Devlin. The couple got engaged in August 2020, solidifying their long-term relationship. McGregor’s mention of his children’s dance pursuits not only sheds light on his role as a father but also on his own dancing skills, which he believes complements his agility and nimbleness required in mixed martial arts. In fact, McGregor humorously credits one of his moves to Riverdance star Michael Flatley, emphasizing the influence of dance on his fighting technique.

Gyllenhaal praised McGregor’s fighting expertise, noting how it added authenticity to their on-screen action sequences.
