The search intensifies for 22-year-old Riley Strain after a night out at a country singer’s bar takes a concerning turn
In a baffling turn of events, 22-year-old university student Riley Strain has vanished after being removed from a renowned Nashville bar owned by country music star Luke Bryan. The incident occurred last Friday at the 32 Bridge bar, a popular spot in the city’s vibrant nightlife scene.
According to police reports, Strain, who was enjoying an evening with friends, was escorted out of the establishment after being deemed overly intoxicated. The young man, standing at 6 feet 5 inches with blond hair and blue eyes, informed his companions he would make his way back to their hotel, situated a mere five blocks away. However, he never arrived, sparking concerns for his safety.
Authorities have since released CCTV footage showing Strain wandering alone, appearing unsteady on his feet. Despite extensive search efforts, including aerial surveillance, his current location remains a mystery.
The case has quickly captured national attention, with billboards across Nashville calling for information on Strain’s whereabouts. The student, who hails from the University of Missouri and is a member of the Delta Chi group, was not on an official university trip. Nevertheless, the institution has pledged its support in the search, with Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Angela King Taylor expressing solidarity with Strain’s family and urging those in need to seek counselling.
Luke Bryan, the owner of the bar from which Strain was last seen, has expressed his concern on social media, stating, “Y’all, this is scary. Praying for his safe return.” The TC Restaurant Group, which operates Bryan’s bar, is collaborating with the Metro Nashville Police Department, providing security footage and any relevant information to aid in the investigation.
Strain’s mother, Michelle Whiteid, has made a heartfelt plea for information, emphasizing the close bond she shares with her son. “It’s so hard. I just need to know where my son is,” she said, urging anyone with information to contact the authorities.
As the search continues, the community and Strain’s loved ones hold onto hope for his safe return, while the police work tirelessly to unravel the mystery of his disappearance.
