Public warned not to approach suspect following chemical assault

An intense search is ongoing for 19-year-old Mickey Blundell, following a distressing incident in Fleetwood, Lancashire, where a woman was reportedly attacked with a chemical, believed to be ammonia. The attack, which took place on Sunday afternoon, has prompted Lancashire Police to issue a strong warning to the public, advising against approaching the suspect.

The emergency services were summoned to the scene after receiving reports of the assault. The police were alerted just before 1:30 pm, treating the incident as a “targeted attack.” A woman in her 30s fell victim to this alarming assault and was immediately transported to the hospital for urgent care. Fortunately, she has been discharged after receiving the necessary treatment.

In the aftermath of the attack, the Lancashire Police Force has distributed a photo of Blundell, urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward. Detective Inspector Kirsty Wyatt, from West CID, highlighted the severity of the situation, acknowledging the fortunate escape from more severe injuries for the victim. The focus now turns to apprehending Blundell, with law enforcement officials conducting thorough investigations alongside appeals for public assistance to locate him.
