Iconic singer Michael Bolton, renowned for hits like “(Sittin’ On) the Dock of the Bay,” has disclosed that he recently underwent successful surgery for a brain tumor just before Christmas. The 70-year-old performer, who raised concerns among fans with his limited movement during the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, shared the news on his Facebook page.

Expressing gratitude to his medical team, Bolton assured his fans that the surgery was a triumph, and he is currently recuperating at home surrounded by the unwavering love and support of his family. In a New Year’s message, he reflected on the unexpected challenges of 2023 and thanked everyone for their well-wishes.

Michael Bolton, a household name in the late 80s for his powerful ballads, has had a remarkable career, winning six American Music Awards and two Grammy Awards. His switch from heavy metal to power ballads propelled him to chart-topping success, with over 75 million records sold, eight top 10 albums, and two number-one singles on the Billboard charts.

The singer gained viral fame in 2011 with his appearance in The Lonely Island’s “Jack Sparrow” video, amassing over 200 million views. Besides music, Bolton delved into acting, making appearances in shows like “Meet Wally Sparks” and “Two and a Half Men.” He also participated in season 11 of “Dancing with the Stars” and co-hosted ABC’s “Celebrity Dating Game.”
