The couple made their PDA-filled red carpet debut at Italy’s top film awards after months of rumours.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have finally made their red carpet debut as a couple—officially. The cosmetics mogul and Oscar-nominated actor stepped out together at the 70th David di Donatello Awards in Rome, and they weren’t shy about showing some serious PDA.

The glamorous event, often dubbed the Italian equivalent of the Oscars, took place at Cinecittà Studios on Wednesday evening. It marked a milestone moment for the couple who first sparked dating rumours in 2023 but had yet to walk a red carpet hand-in-hand—until now.

Chalamet, 29, was the man of the hour, being honoured with the David for Cinematic Excellence, recognising his global impact and standout performances over the past year. The award highlighted his leading roles in Dune: Part Two and his transformative portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.

Jenner, 27, was by his side throughout the night. She dazzled in a floor-length black gown with a plunging neckline, adorned with a crystal-stitched pattern that shimmered beneath the lights. Her hair was slicked back in a polished high bun, giving full attention to her statement gown and smoky eye makeup. Timothée kept things suave in a black velvet double-breasted suit with matching trousers, pairing the look with a floral brooch and patent loafers.

Together, they turned the Rome red carpet into their own romantic stage.

The couple clung to each other in nearly every photo. They walked in holding hands, posed with Timothée’s arm around Kylie’s waist, and stared deeply into each other’s eyes. In one flirty moment, Chalamet appeared to nearly graze Kylie’s backside, drawing buzz on social media. Though they stopped just short of a kiss, their chemistry was unmistakable.

The public appearance came just two days after eyebrows were raised over Chalamet’s absence from the Met Gala. Despite fans hoping for a grand debut on fashion’s biggest night, Kylie flew solo in a custom Ferragamo gown, while Timothée stayed home—reportedly watching the New York Knicks game on his iPad.

That decision only added more weight to their red carpet moment in Rome. Many suspected a strategic delay in public appearances to avoid the so-called “Met Gala couple curse”—a string of celebrity breakups that follow red carpet debuts at the event. But with their PDA on full display in Italy, the pair seem very much united.

The David di Donatello appearance also squashes any lingering speculation about their relationship status. Though they’ve been spotted kissing courtside at basketball games and slipping into parties together, they’ve mostly dodged official photo ops and interviews as a duo. This marks their first deliberate step into the limelight as a couple on a major red carpet.

As Chalamet accepted his award inside the venue, Jenner beamed beside him, seated in the front row. The moment was both cinematic and intimate—a fitting scene for one of Hollywood’s most-watched young couples.

With the actor deep into promotion for his next projects and Kylie expanding her fashion and beauty empire globally, their Rome outing signals a new chapter—where their love life may be as headline-grabbing as their careers.
