The TV star impressed fans in her police costume after opening up about her weight loss
Josie Gibson wowed her followers this weekend after showing off a striking police officer costume for Halloween, just months after revealing her impressive five-stone weight loss. The This Morning presenter and former Big Brother winner, 40, attended a family-friendly music event in Bristol, dressed as a glamorous cop alongside her six-year-old son, Reggie, who playfully went as her partner in crime — a mini robber.
Sharing photos from the night on Instagram, Josie posed in a sleek navy police catsuit paired with knee-high boots, captioning the post: “Lovely little mix at @littlegrooversevents. Missing the handcuffs… #halloween #copsandrobbers #motherandson @circuit.bristol. Thank you @topof_bristol love you mate.”
Her followers flooded the comments with praise, with one writing: “Beautiful photo — you look absolutely gorgeous in that costume and boots,” while another added: “Great pic, you look fantastic.”
The Little Groovers event, where Josie was a special guest, celebrated Halloween with a family twist, offering house music, entertainment, and costumes for all ages. Organisers described the TV favourite as the perfect addition to their celebration. “Josie represents everything we’re about: family, fun, and unforgettable vibes,” they said. “Having her as part of the Little Groovers family is massive — we couldn’t think of anyone better to stand with us as we bring the city together this Halloween.”
The event marked another confident appearance from Josie, who has been open about her health and fitness transformation throughout 2025. Earlier this year, she revealed she had shed five stone through sheer discipline, determination, and lifestyle changes — without relying on surgery or weight-loss injections.

“I didn’t get a gastric bypass,” she told fans in March. “I got off my big a**e, moved more, ate less and educated myself on what I was stuffing into my body.”
Josie explained that she followed a structured meal plan, incorporating intermittent fasting to help manage her eating habits. “I avoided food for eight solid hours at a time,” she said, describing the approach as “essential” to achieving her healthier lifestyle.
The Bristol-born presenter also credited a balanced approach to food for helping her stay on track. “I did the six-day plan on Do The Unthinkable, which entitled me to one day off,” she said. “On that one day off, I had one cheat meal — I didn’t go crazy and drink 10 bottles of wine or binge all day on food and chocolate. I just had my one cheat and that was it. If you’ve got that one day off, don’t undo all your hard work. Just have your one cheat meal and enjoy it.”
Fans have admired her honesty about body image, especially in an era when many celebrities opt for quick fixes. Josie’s commitment to a realistic, sustainable lifestyle has resonated with thousands, making her a relatable role model for viewers of This Morning and beyond.
In recent months, Josie has juggled her TV work with motherhood and a return to the social spotlight, often sharing glimpses of her life on Instagram. Her positive attitude and sense of humour — both hallmarks of her personality since she won Big Brother in 2010 — continue to make her one of Britain’s most down-to-earth television figures.
Her Halloween post is the latest in a string of upbeat moments that highlight her confidence and happiness. Between raising Reggie, presenting live television, and attending community events, Josie appears to be thriving.
“Josie’s glow-up isn’t just about weight loss — it’s about self-love,” one fan wrote beneath her photo. And judging by her smile in that police uniform, she seems to agree.
