Loose horses roam streets, prompting emergency response and soldier’s injury
Several horses from the Household Cavalry were reported running through the streets of central London, causing chaos and resulting in a soldier being injured after being hit by one of the loose horses.
The Army, in collaboration with the police, is actively working to locate and contain the loose horses. Witnesses reported sightings of the horses in various locations, including Aldwych, Tower Bridge, Limehouse, and Victoria.
Emergency services responded to the scene in Victoria, where a soldier was seen lying on the street, receiving treatment outside the Clermont Hotel. Nearby, a damaged bus with a shattered windscreen indicated the path of one of the loose horses, while members of the public comforted the distressed animal.
A spokesperson for Westminster police confirmed awareness of the situation, stating, “We are aware of a number of horses that are currently loose in central London and are working with colleagues, including the Army, to locate them.”
