The actress welcomes her fourth child, Townes Meadow Bair, via water birth, celebrating her new arrival with a sweet family moment
Hilary Duff is basking in the joy of her newborn daughter, Townes Meadow Bair. On Wednesday, the actress shared an adorable photo of “Townsie” nestled on her chest in a mermaid-printed onesie, capturing the moment with a simple yet affectionate caption: “Townsie gahhh.”
The mermaid-themed onesie fits perfectly as Townes arrived via water birth on May 3. The joyful news was shared by Duff in a heartfelt Instagram post, where she expressed her delight, “I have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months, and the past five days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you have been pure moments of magic.”
Duff continued, “We all love you like you’ve been here all along, beauty,” noting that the wait was worth it because “she was perfecting those cheeks!”
The “Lizzie McGuire” star initially announced her pregnancy in December through a humorous Christmas card with a note reading, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!” The card featured sweet photos of the kids and another funny line, “So much for silent nights.”
Duff, who shares her growing family with husband Matthew Koma, is now a mother of four. She and Koma have two other daughters, Banks, 5, and Mae, 3, while Duff’s eldest son Luca, 12, is from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.
While she was thrilled to meet her new daughter, Duff candidly expressed her impatience with the final stages of pregnancy. In April, she posted a carousel of pregnancy photos, playfully captioning them as “The wait…” and sharing her efforts to encourage her daughter to make an appearance. Despite her anxiety over the extended wait, Duff has praised her husband for his unwavering support, even calling him her “hot nurse” after he recently underwent a vasectomy.
In an Instagram caption, she noted, “4 kids is a truly wild choice. And while you rage the farmers market with the kids after 4 nights of shows and late nights so I can get some sleep and not hear, ‘Mom Mom Mama Mommy Mooooom,’ just know this only works because of you ♥️.”
