Johnnie Davis opens up about the devastating loss on what was supposed to be the best day of her life

In an unimaginable twist of fate, Johnnie Davis became a widow just one hour after saying her wedding vows. The tragic turn of events unfolded on June 19, as Davis and her newlywed husband, Toraze, faced a heart-wrenching ordeal.

As Toraze was loaded into an ambulance to be taken to the hospital, Davis followed in another car. At the hospital, she endured 40 agonizing minutes before being allowed to see him, only to receive the devastating news that he had suffered a cardiac arrest in the ambulance, and the medical team couldn’t save him.

The doctors explained that Toraze had a blood clot that had travelled to his heart, leading to the fatal cardiac arrest. Davis, still reeling from the recent loss of her father to cancer, found herself facing another profound tragedy.

During the ceremony, Toraze had complained of feeling unwell and struggling to breathe. Davis initially attributed it to the hot day and the discomfort of wearing a full suit. Little did she know it was a precursor to the fatal event that unfolded shortly after.

Despite the heartbreak, Davis finds solace in the fact that they were able to exchange wedding vows and pledge their love to each other. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses for the Davis family.
