Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, faces online criticism for what some perceive as a ‘diva’ moment at M&T bank stadium

In the aftermath of the Kansas City Chiefs’ triumphant win against the Baltimore Ravens, a viral video capturing Brittany Mahomes’ interaction with a stadium employee has sparked controversy among fans. Married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany’s post-game behaviour has ignited a social media debate.

The footage shows Brittany and Patrick strolling through the M&T Bank Stadium’s hallways, sharing a celebratory kiss after securing their spot in the Super Bowl. However, the attention shifted when Brittany, seemingly uncertain about her next move, sought directions from an off-camera stadium employee, twirling her finger as she asked, “Where do we go from here?”

While Brittany’s inquiry appeared innocuous, some viewers felt her approach lacked politeness, labeling her a ‘diva’ in the comments. Critics expressed discontent, with one viewer stating, “Brittany Mahomes seems like such a diva,” and another asserting, “Mahomes’ wife needs to get up off her high horse.”

However, others defended Brittany, questioning the criticism and arguing that she merely asked for directions without any ill intent.

As the online discussion unfolded, Brittany shared a photo of herself and Patrick on the football field, captioning it with a defiant message: “We went there. We won. Anyone have anything else to say?” Looking ahead to the Super Bowl final on February 11, she added, “See y’all in Vegas.”

Brittany, a former football player and founder of the Kansas City Current in the National Women’s Soccer League, has yet to respond to the online scrutiny.
