£70 million footballer’s Lamborghini catapults soap icon, Gaffney, resulting in broken collar-bone

In a dramatic turn of events, EastEnders star Dean Gaffney narrowly avoided a fatal encounter when he was struck by the £70 million Chelsea star Wesley Fofana’s Lamborghini during a night out. Gaffney, known for his role as Robbie Jackson, suffered a broken collar-bone after being unexpectedly “catapulted” into the air in the accident on King’s Road, Chelsea.

The 45-year-old actor, a Brentford fan, was treated at the hospital and later allowed to return home. Fofana, the 23-year-old French international centre-back, was breathalysed at the scene and passed the test, absolving him of any fault in the incident.

Sources reveal that Gaffney only learned about Fofana’s involvement as the driver after the accident. The footballer, reportedly “unaware” of Gaffney’s identity, was not held responsible for the collision.

A source close to the situation shared, “It was a nasty accident, and Dean said afterwards that he was lucky to be alive and was counting his blessings. He’d just left a nightspot and was trying to get in a black cab when the Lamborghini hit him in the midriff, catapulting him into the air.”

The source continued, “He was out cold, and his mates were all really worried. The emergency services gave him pain relief, and he was patched up in the hospital. At the time, he did not realize who the driver was but was told later that it was Wesley Fofana.”

Gaffney reportedly refrained from discussing the December 2022 incident publicly as there was “no blame attached,” and it “was not anybody’s fault.” The collision occurred as Gaffney was leaving a nightspot and attempting to hail a black cab.

Representatives for Dean Gaffney, Chelsea FC, and Wesley Fofana have yet to provide official comments on the incident.
