In a bizarre and tragic turn of events, a gathering of Kansas City Chiefs fans took a dark twist when three friends were found dead after watching a game at Jordan Willis’ rented home. David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, had assembled with a fifth friend on January 7 to cheer on their team in the last game of the regular season against the LA Chargers.

However, the night ended in mystery when the trio failed to return home after leaving Willis’ place. Two days later, on January 7, police were alerted by one of the men’s fiancées, sparking an investigation.

Willis, the host, claims to have no knowledge of what happened to his friends after they left. According to his lawyer, John Picerno, Willis was asleep on the couch when the friends departed, and he only became aware of the concern surrounding them when the police arrived.

Police discovered one body on the back porch and two more in the backyard during their investigation. Despite the mysterious circumstances, authorities are not treating the deaths as homicides.

Family members, however, are seeking answers. Norma Chester, Ricky Johnson’s mother, expressed disbelief, questioning how responsible men could end up freezing to death in a backyard. Picerno emphasises that Willis harbours no ill intentions towards his friends and willingly cooperated with the police, allowing them to search his home.

“He has nothing to hide. He went to the police station and spoke with officers without a lawyer present, he allowed them to search his home… these were his friends,” Picerno clarified.

Willis, who bought tickets for the group to attend the next Chiefs game, has moved out of the property where the tragic incident occurred. The wait for answers continues as a toxicology report from the medical examiner is expected to provide more insights into the mysterious deaths. As of now, the results of the report are pending release.
