Bridgeport police investigate early morning shooting, seek information

A man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg after departing from the Mystique adult entertainment club in Bridgeport, sparking an investigation by local authorities. The incident, which occurred early Saturday morning, has prompted the Bridgeport Police to call for witnesses as they piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

According to police reports, dispatchers were alerted to gunshots in the 2400 block of Main Street around 12:15 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of a crime scene, although the victim was initially nowhere to be found. It was later confirmed that a 34-year-old man from Bridgeport, suffering from a non-life-threatening injury, sought medical attention at a nearby hospital. He is currently in stable condition.

Investigators believe the shooting was not random and that the victim was specifically targeted after leaving the Mystique club. The motive behind the attack and the identity of the assailant(s) remain under investigation.
