United Airlines flight forced to land safely after terrifying incident at San Francisco airport

In a heart-stopping incident at San Francisco International Airport, a United Airlines Boeing 777 bound for Osaka, Japan, was forced to make an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport after losing a wheel during takeoff. The harrowing moment was captured on video, showing the tyre plummeting from the sky and damaging cars below.

Despite the missing tyre, the plane landed safely at LAX, where emergency services were on standby. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the 235 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and four pilots onboard.

United Airlines swiftly arranged for a new aircraft to transport passengers to their intended destination, Japan. The damaged vehicles at San Francisco Airport are also being addressed by the airline.

This incident, although rare, raises concerns about aviation safety and the maintenance of aircraft. However, experts assure that losing a tyre is not indicative of a larger safety issue.

The Federal Aviation Administration will conduct an investigation into the incident to determine its cause. In the meantime, passengers and aviation authorities are reminded of the importance of aircraft maintenance and safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
