AAP Chief moves to Bungalow No. 5 on Ferozeshah Road following his resignation as Chief Minister
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is set to vacate his official residence in north Delhi, moving to a new address at Bungalow No. 5 on Ferozeshah Road. This shift comes shortly after his unexpected resignation as Chief Minister, following a prolonged stint at Tihar Jail related to the alleged excise policy scam.
The new residence, officially allotted to AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal, is conveniently located near the AAP headquarters. Kejriwal will be living there with his family, a move facilitated by Mittal, who expressed delight that the former chief minister chose to stay at his residence. “I invited him to be my guest at my Delhi residence, and it brings me great joy that he has accepted my request,” Mittal stated in a video message.
As Kejriwal transitions to his new home, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has relocated to a bungalow on Rajendra Prasad Road, which is also designated for AAP MP Harbhajan Singh. According to AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, numerous party members offered their residences to Kejriwal after his departure from the official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road, where he had resided since 2015.

Despite stepping down, he has indicated intentions to oversee AAP’s campaign for the upcoming elections in Delhi and other states, affirming his commitment to return to the chief minister’s position only after earning a “certificate of honesty” from the electorate during the Delhi assembly elections scheduled for February next year.
His previous residence at 6 Flagstaff Road was a focal point of controversy, attracting criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which labelled it “Sheesh Mahal” over alleged reconstruction irregularities. Meanwhile, Sisodia, having faced his own challenges since his arrest in the excise policy case in March 2023, remains in the Mathura Road bungalow, previously allotted to him, while the current chief minister, Atishi, continues to stay in her Kalkaji constituency house.
The political landscape in Delhi is rapidly evolving as Kejriwal adjusts to his new surroundings and prepares for the upcoming electoral battle, reflecting the ongoing dynamics within AAP and the broader political environment in the capital.
