Prominent activist and entertainer falls victim to heinous crime during holiday in Medellin

The family and a close friend were contacted by the kidnappers, demanding a ransom of $2,000 (8 million Colombian Pesos) for Xiong’s release. Tragically, before any deal could be negotiated, Xiong’s lifeless body was discovered in the La Corcovado ravine. Local media reports detail the gruesome findings, indicating multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the harrowing incident, exploring the circumstances surrounding Xiong’s untimely death. While confirming that the suspects took Xiong’s life before a resolution could be reached, investigators are delving into the possibility of an escape attempt leading to fatal consequences.

Eh Xiong, Tou Ger’s brother, expressed the family’s devastation at the loss. He condemned the “heinous crime” and revealed that law enforcement has made progress in identifying suspects. One of the suspected captors has already been apprehended, thanks to the discovery of crucial evidence.
