The Aquaman star confirms her pregnancy as she embraces a more private lifestyle, focusing on motherhood and her daughter, Oonagh Paige.

Amber Heard, the Aquaman actor, is preparing to welcome her second child while leading a quieter life in Spain. A spokesperson confirmed the news, revealing that the pregnancy is in its early stages. “Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige,” they shared, emphasising the actor’s joy about expanding her family.

Heard, 38, first became a mother in April 2021, welcoming her daughter Oonagh Paige via surrogate. At the time, she described her decision to embark on motherhood as a solo venture. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Heard wrote, “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms.” Her candid reflection highlighted her desire to normalise single parenthood and reclaim autonomy over her life choices.

Despite maintaining a relatively private existence since relocating to Spain, Heard occasionally shares glimpses of her journey as a mother. Her posts often celebrate milestones with Oonagh, who is now three years old. Heard’s dedication to protecting her daughter from the public eye aligns with her decision to distance herself from the spotlight following the highly publicised defamation trial with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

The former couple was married from 2015 to 2017 before their tumultuous relationship spilt into a legal battle. In 2019, Depp filed a $50 million defamation suit against Heard over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post. Although the article did not name Depp, his legal team argued it implied he was a domestic abuser.

The six-week trial, held in 2022, captivated audiences worldwide. Ultimately, the jury sided with Depp, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, later reduced under Virginia law. Heard, however, received $2 million in a countersuit, reflecting the fraught dynamics of their legal struggle.

Since the trial’s conclusion, Heard has been vocal about her perspective, particularly regarding the impact on her daughter. In a June 2022 interview with Today’s Savannah Guthrie, she shared her resolve to address the trial openly when the time comes. “I think no matter what, it will mean something,” she said, adding, “I did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth.”

Now focusing on her family life, Heard’s move to Spain has marked a significant shift from the high-profile existence she once led. Friends and sources close to the actor describe her as prioritising peace and stability for her daughter while preparing for the arrival of her second child.

This new chapter represents a fresh start for Heard, blending her professional accomplishments with her personal aspirations. Fans and supporters have celebrated her news, expressing admiration for her resilience and devotion to motherhood.

As Heard embraces this transformative period, she continues to champion her values of independence and empowerment. Whether sharing intimate family moments or advocating for personal freedom, she exemplifies a modern narrative of defining motherhood and life on one’s own terms.
