ITV announces Adil Ray as new co-host alongside Kate Garraway
Good Morning Britain has revealed that presenter Adil Ray will be taking over from Ben Shepherd on the ITV morning show. Ben, 49, was recently confirmed as the co-host of This Morning, alongside Cat Deeley, replacing Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Adil Ray’s return to the morning news show alongside Kate Garraway was announced on social media. Adil expressed his excitement, saying, “From Friday, I’ll be back @gmb for most Fridays until the end of May. First run is the next three Fridays until the Easter break. Hope you’ll join me. In the current climate, it feels like a huge privilege to be on the morning telly. Would love it if you joined us from 6 am. Thank you.”
Ben Shepherd’s departure from Good Morning Britain was an emotional one, with his final day on the show marked by heartfelt farewells from colleagues. Kate Garraway expressed her emotions, saying, “It’s not even a minute past six, I just realized that’s the last time we’re here Good Morning Britain with Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway. I’m off already, too emotional!”
