The duo posted a blood-soaked photo to mark their horror film’s second week atop the box office

Hailee Steinfeld and Michael B. Jordan aren’t just basking in critical acclaim—they’re revelling in blood. The co-stars of Sinners, the vampire-themed horror flick that’s dominated the box office since its 18 April release, took to Instagram on Tuesday, 29 April to toast their film’s bloody success.

“Two weeks at #1…” read their joint post, which featured the duo drenched in crimson, presumably taken on the gore-soaked set of the movie. Fans were quick to react, flooding the comments with congratulations and fire emojis, clearly still energised by the film’s chilling impact.

Steinfeld, known for Bumblebee and Dickinson, paired up with Black Panther and Creed heavyweight Jordan in what has quickly become one of 2025’s most talked-about horror spectacles. Sinners blends stylish brutality with supernatural dread, pitting bloodthirsty creatures of the night against morally compromised mortals—and it’s struck a powerful chord with cinema-goers.

“Thank you for being part of this experience,” the stars wrote in unison, adding a sense of intimacy and gratitude to their gory tribute.

Just days earlier, on Sunday 27 April, Jordan posted a heartfelt message on his own social media channels. Visibly moved, the actor-turned-producer struggled to contain his emotion.

“Words can’t express the gratitude that I feel for everyone and the outpour of love for our film!!” he typed in his caption. “It’s a crazy feeling to know how many of you have shown up and continue to support this film.”

In a video accompanying the post, Jordan appeared almost overwhelmed. “I’m speechless. I’m proud. I’m happy. I’m blown away by the outpour of love and support and I just want to say thank you,” he said directly to the camera, his sincerity cutting through the usual Hollywood polish.

Fans have responded with fervour, queuing for sold-out screenings and turning the film into an unexpected juggernaut. Analysts credit the film’s stylish direction, brutal execution, and the magnetic chemistry between Steinfeld and Jordan for its sustained dominance. But there’s no doubt that the stars’ enthusiastic engagement with fans has amplified the buzz.

The film’s mix of psychological horror and sleek vampire mythology has also drawn in a diverse audience. Critics have praised Sinners for its commitment to genre tropes while infusing them with fresh flair. For Steinfeld, it marks a bold pivot into grittier territory. For Jordan, it’s another notch in a growing list of career highs.

And they’re not done celebrating just yet. With Sinners showing strong legs at the domestic box office and chatter of international expansion growing louder, both stars seem poised to ride this bloody wave even further.

Whether they’re soaked in fake blood or heartfelt gratitude, Steinfeld and Jordan are clearly relishing their moment. If the past two weeks are anything to go by, Sinners won’t be vanishing from the spotlight anytime soon.
