An 18-year-old male passenger died at the scene, his life cut short in an instant. Another 17-year-old, who was rushed to hospital in critical condition, succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Two other 17-year-old boys suffered severe trauma—one is now fighting for his life, while the other remains in a stable condition despite life-changing injuries.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

West Mercia Police are now scrambling to piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the tragedy. They have revealed that the Audi was travelling with a red Vauxhall Corsa and a black VW Golf shortly before the crash, though these vehicles were not involved in the accident.

Inspector Steph Arrowsmith, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, has urged the public to come forward with any information that might shed light on the catastrophic crash.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen or have dashcam footage of the Audi A1 travelling on Wood Road or Boscobel Lane from Codsall towards Bishops Wood around 11 PM. Even the smallest detail could be crucial to our investigation.”

Authorities are working tirelessly to establish the events that led to the deadly crash. For now, the victims’ families are left grappling with an unimaginable loss.

A Community in Mourning

The deaths of the two teenagers have sent shockwaves through the local community, with friends and family struggling to come to terms with the tragedy. Floral tributes have already begun to appear near the crash site, as devastated loved ones pay their respects.

Meanwhile, police continue their investigation and urge anyone with relevant information to contact DC Rich Owen on 07814773916 or email [email protected], quoting incident number 554 of 14 March.

As the families mourn and investigators work to uncover the truth, one question lingers: what went so terribly wrong on that dark country road?
