The Stranger Things star vows to shave her head again—but this time, it’s for an unexpected reason
Millie Bobby Brown is no stranger to drastic transformations. The Stranger Things star famously shaved her head at just 12 years old for her role as Eleven in the hit Netflix series. Now, at 20, she’s preparing for another extreme makeover—but this time, it’s entirely personal.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Brown revealed she plans to shave her head again before giving birth to her first child. Though she and husband Jake Bongiovi, whom she married in May 2024, aren’t expecting yet, she already has a vision for the moment.
“I always tell Jake, for my first baby, I wanna shave my hair off,” she admitted. “I don’t know why—it just feels really liberating. I’d recommend it to any girl.”
The actress reflected on her experience shaving her head for Stranger Things, describing it as empowering. Now, she wants to revisit that feeling as she steps into motherhood.

I think it’s such a liberating experience. I had that moment as a girl, but I’d like to have that moment as a woman.
Brown’s comments have sparked discussion online, with fans debating whether her extreme decision is practical or simply symbolic. Some have praised her for prioritising comfort and embracing change, while others question whether she’ll follow through when the time comes.
This isn’t the first time Brown has spoken about her future family plans. In a previous interview on the Smartless podcast, she shared that she has always dreamed of motherhood.
“My mum had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” she said. “It’s been my thing since before I even met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mum I wanted to be a mum just like she was to me.”
For now, Millie Bobby Brown is focused on her acting career and married life, but when the time comes for Millie Bobby Brown’s pregnancy, she’s determined to handle it on her own terms—even if that means shaving her head.
