Danyel Smith accuses Sean “Diddy” combs of threatening her life in 1997 over approval of vibe magazine photos.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing serious allegations of threatening the life of journalist Danyel Smith over the approval of photos for Vibe magazine. The shocking claims were made by Smith in an upcoming docuseries titled The Fall of Diddy, where she recalls a disturbing interaction from 1997, when she was the editor-in-chief of the magazine.
According to Smith, after a photoshoot, Combs demanded to see the covers before they were published. However, it was Vibe’s policy not to show the covers to anyone beforehand, including the artist. Smith stood firm in upholding that policy, prompting a furious response from Combs.

However, Combs reportedly responded defiantly, saying, “I’m not taking s*** back.”
Fearing for her safety, Smith enlisted her lawyer, and within a couple of hours, she reportedly received a faxed apology from Combs. But the situation escalated further, as Smith later discovered that Combs had allegedly sent two men to Vibe’s office to intimidate her into compliance.
The journalist, who had only recently learned of this intimidation, shared that she was informed by former Vibe staff members that Combs had arrived at the office with two tough guys searching for her.
Combs, who has previously denied Smith’s allegations, has yet to respond to these new claims. The music mogul, who is currently awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges, continues to face mounting legal challenges. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5
