Jonny Wilkinson has reportedly found love in Magaluf following his split from wife Shelley Jenkins

Rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson, best known for his unforgettable last-minute drop goal in the 2003 World Cup final, has reportedly moved on from his relationship with wife Shelley Jenkins. The 45-year-old former rugby star, who now contributes expert analysis for ITV’s Six Nations coverage, is said to have found new love in Magaluf following the end of his marriage.

Wilkinson and Jenkins, who married in 2013 in a private ceremony in Bandol, France, share a son named James. The pair had been together for many years before their split, which was reportedly caused by Wilkinson’s intense commitment to his rugby career. A friend of the rugby star noted that his dedication to the sport had often strained his relationships. “It is the same with all his relationships; rugby got in the way then as it is doing now,” the friend explained. “He’s just so committed to the sport that there is no room for anything else.”

Prior to his marriage to Jenkins, Wilkinson had been in a relationship with Sky Sports presenter Diana Stewart. The pair met in 2005, just after Wilkinson ended his previous relationship with Stewart. Diana, who covered multiple sports for Sky, including rugby, golf, and tennis, eventually married European Tour golfer Nick Dougherty in 2010, following a relationship with Ant & Dec’s Declan Donnelly.

Wilkinson, who faced mental health struggles after his playing career ended and his injuries mounted, found solace and recovery after meeting Shelley Jenkins. However, following their split, it appears he has found new hope and love while in Magaluf.

Details surrounding his new relationship remain private, but it seems Wilkinson is embracing the next chapter of his life after years of personal and professional challenges. Fans and friends alike are keen to see what the future holds for the rugby hero, who remains a beloved figure in the sport.
