As the show aired, fans flooded social media platforms with heartfelt messages, expressing their sadness at his absence and gratitude for the opportunity to see him doing what he loved one last time.

One viewer on Twitter expressed, “It’s great to see new stuff by the dearly missed Paul O’Grady. His elephant adventure series will be lovely. We miss you, Paul.”

Another fan tweeted, “Fantastic to see ITV showing the wonderful #PaulOGrady #GreatElephantAdventure. Paul was so passionate about wildlife, and you can clearly see he loved all animals.”

Others shared similar sentiments, highlighting O’Grady’s passion for animals and his enduring legacy in the world of television.

Beyond his well-known persona as Lily Savage, O’Grady was celebrated for his documentary series, “For The Love Of Dogs,” where he shared his deep affection for canines. Now, in his final project, he turned his attention to elephants, travelling to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand to explore the lives of these majestic creatures.

In the program, O’Grady delved into the daily realities faced by the elephants and also visited a dog sanctuary that housed over 600 disabled canines, reaffirming his commitment to animal welfare until the very end.
