Lashawn Warren faces multiple charges after a deadly altercation leaves one dead and three injured.

In a disturbing incident on February 4th, Westmoreland saw a violent shooting that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Devonte Brown, known as ‘Silly’, and left three others with gunshot wounds. Lashawn Warren, 19, alias ‘Do-Do Man’, from Ghetto Geneva in the parish, has been charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony and three counts of wounding with intent.

The attack unfolded on the Crowder main road and nearby yard when Warren, alongside an accomplice wielding a rifle, emerged from a grey Nissan Latio and indiscriminately fired at the group before fleeing the scene. The victims were promptly taken to the hospital, where Brown was pronounced dead, and the others received urgent care.

Warren’s capture on March 13th followed a focused operation in Grange Hill, leading to his charges on March 17th. As the community reels from this tragedy, Warren awaits his court proceedings, emphasizing the ongoing issue of gun violence in the area.
