Amidst relentless medical efforts, including biopsies, radiography, and chemotherapy, Courtney’s health continued to decline. Despite undergoing surgery to alleviate pressure on her brain and seemingly regaining normalcy for a brief period, Courtney’s condition rapidly deteriorated in March 2022. Complications arose, leading to the loss of her vision, the onset of type 1 diabetes, and a decline in her overall health.

Despite her valiant fight, Courtney’s battle came to an end in November 2022 when the cancer spread to the top of her spine, plunging her into a coma. She passed away on December 3, 2022, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and courage.

In the wake of Courtney’s passing, her mother Kim has embarked on a mission to raise awareness and funds for brain tumour research. With unwavering determination, Kim plans to undertake a skydive in May to support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, reflecting Courtney’s spirit of selflessness and compassion.

Courtney’s tragic story serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of listening to one’s body and advocating for medical attention when symptoms arise. Through Kim’s efforts and the outpouring of support from family and friends, Courtney’s memory lives on, inspiring hope and driving positive change in the fight against brain tumours.
