Today, King Charles arrived at the London Clinic for his scheduled prostate operation, the same hospital where Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is recovering from her abdominal surgery. Accompanying the monarch was his wife, Queen Camilla, whose behaviour has been labelled as “unusual” by royal expert Chris Ship.

Taking to Twitter, Chris Ship explained to his followers the rarity of Queen Camilla accompanying King Charles to the hospital. He tweeted, “Queen Camilla has gone into the hospital with King Charles. Whilst this might seem normal for most families, it is very unusual for the Royal Family to accompany their spouse like this (the late Queen and Prince Philip always went into hospital on their own.).”

Speculation arose among followers, with one suggesting, “I expect The Queen will visit The Princess of Wales whilst there too.”

In a statement from the Palace, it was revealed that the King is “delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.” However, the duration of the King’s hospital stay remains unknown.
