In a surprising turn of events, Sue and Noel Radford, the proud parents of Britain’s largest family with 22 kids, have found themselves contemplating a move due to the overwhelming attention from fans at their Morecambe home.

The Radfords, who gained fame through their Channel 5 show “22 Kids and Counting” since 2021, shared their house-hunting woes on a recent episode of Loose Women. The couple explained how their need for relocation stems from the increasing number of fans travelling considerable distances, knocking on their door, and even opening the gate.

Addressing the issue on the show, Noel Radford disclosed, “We’ve looked at buying a new house, so that’s all ongoing, you’ll need to keep watching to see what happens there.” The move is prompted by a quest for more space, particularly for the kids, but the primary concern is privacy, as fans have been going beyond the norm, intruding on the family’s personal space.

Noel explained, “People walk past and take a picture, but it was getting too much when they were opening the gate and coming to the door and knocking on the door.” Sue added an anecdote about fans coming all the way from Scotland, stating, “They’d gone to the pie shop, and Aimee had served them, and then they’d come to the house and were stood at the gate.”

The Radford brood, ranging in age from 3 to 34, faces the challenge of balancing privacy and fame. The couple, who previously dreamed of converting a barn into a home for their large family, now feels the need to move for a fresh start.

Their decision-making process was showcased on the latest season of their reality show, where Sue caught neighbours taking photos of their vehicles, leading to a realisation that their privacy was increasingly compromised.

The move, however, comes with its set of challenges, including the dilemma of fitting all the children into a new seven-bedroom home. With more kids than rooms, the Radfords contemplate converting the garage and adding an extension. Yet, the costs and potential disruption to the house’s character pose significant hurdles.

Noel shared, “You’re going to have to start paying for your own gas, your own electric, your own shopping,” highlighting the newfound independence for the older kids.
