Strictly Come Dancing champions Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola shook things up during their appearance on This Morning, where they spilt the beans on their post-victory plans.

Fresh from their triumph on the BBC talent show late last year, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola took the ITV mid-morning stage by storm, accompanied by hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle. Bursting with enthusiasm, the dynamic duo revealed their upcoming collaboration with the This Morning team for an exclusive dance segment, aimed at helping couples master the art of dancing.

Expressing her excitement, Ellie exclaimed, “I’m thrilled to become a teacher! We’ll be giving three lucky couples some dance lessons. You know those moments at events or weddings when one-half of the couple is hesitant to hit the dance floor? We’re here to show them some moves.” Vito chimed in, promising to transform them into dance professionals. Josie and Craig warmly welcomed the pair to the show, while Ellie shared how Strictly Come Dancing boosted her confidence.

Amidst swirling rumours of a romantic connection, the pair clarified that they were just good friends. However, they playfully confessed their plan to get matching tattoos – an eggplant (aubergine) and a bee. Addressing raised eyebrows, Ellie and Vito explained that the aubergine symbolised their shared love for aubergine parmigiana after a day of passionate discussion. The bee, on the other hand, represented their resilience and love for Manchester.

Reflecting on their journey, Vito praised Ellie’s transformation. He remarked, “I am incredibly proud of this girl. She started as a shy, reserved person, and now she’s a super strong, independent woman. Initially, she doubted herself, saying ‘I can’t do this,’ but now, everything is a ‘yes.’ Ellie represents the essence of the Strictly journey, starting from scratch to achieving what even some professional dancers find challenging. I am just immensely proud of her.”
